Background

Sue O’Dwyer is a lecturer and laboratory instructor in the Medical Laboratory Science program. She received her Medical Laboratory Technologist certification from the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences (formerly the Toronto Institute of Medical Technology) in Ontario and was granted her Advanced Registered Technologist designation in Microbiology from the Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists (CSMLS). She is currently registered with CSMLS and the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).

Prior to joining UOIT in 2007, Sue worked in clinical microbiology with special interests in parasitology and infection control. She also enjoyed helping elementary school children to discover the microscopic world as a presenter for Scientists in School.
